Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Supply Chain Director for a Direct-Hire job with a client located in Windsor, CT (Hybrid).

Pay Range: $160,000 to $180,000 . The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain Management to lead our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee inventory control processes to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Manage logistics operations to ensure the timely delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with production planning teams to forecast demand accurately.
  • Utilize SAP and Power BI for data analysis and reporting on supply chain performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout the supply chain process.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Power BI for data management and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
  • Familiarity with production planning processes and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies, preferably Six Sigma certified.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
