Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and implement workplace safety and environmental compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and extensive experience in environmental regulations and compliance . This opportunity could lead into corporate safety leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead environmental compliance efforts, including air, water, and waste management programs.
  • Provide training to employees on workplace safety, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to integrate EHS initiatives into daily operations.
  • Maintain and update EHS policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant bodies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA).
  • Experience developing and implementing EHS programs in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM, CIH) are a plus.
