Corporate Associate - M&A | Rochester or Buffalo, NY (Hybrid)

A well-established regional law firm with a strong reputation for high-quality corporate work is seeking a mid-level associate to join its corporate group. The position is based in either Rochester or Buffalo, with a hybrid schedule of approximately 50% in-office time and flexibility around how that’s structured.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a variety of M&A transactions and commercial contract matters
• Work directly with partners and clients from the outset, taking on real responsibility and ownership of matters
• Collaborate across practice groups, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries and legal issues

Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of corporate experience, ideally with significant exposure to M&A and/or commercial contracts
• Will consider more junior attorneys with at least one year of law firm experience
• Admission to practice in New York or eligibility for admission

Compensation:

• Lockstep compensation structure ranging from $118,000 to $140,000, with flexibility at the counsel level based on billable rate and experience
