Construction Project Engineer – Federal Projects

Location: Austin, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

A respected federal contractor is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support federal construction and landmark restoration projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, managing construction activities, and ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

K ey Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost tracking.
• Review design documents for constructability and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Help oversee daily site activities, ensure safety compliance, and support quality control efforts.
• Maintain clear communication and documentation across all project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience on federal construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an employer-sponsored government security clearance.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
